SPC-106TRA7-2: The 2nd Generation with Even More Powerful Design
The second generation of the SPC-106TRA7-2 has been upgraded with several technical improvements to deliver an even more impressive sound experience. The new High-Amplitude Multi-Roll (H.A.M.R.) surround allows for greater cone excursion, resulting in more precise bass reproduction. Additionally, the vented pole structure enhances motor cooling by efficiently dissipating warm air. This enables the speaker to handle higher power levels for extended periods without sound degradation.
The gold-plated blade terminals ensure optimal signal transmission and corrosion resistance, while the die-cast aluminium basket provides high rigidity and allows for larger magnets without warping. This enhancement enabled us to equip the speakers with more powerful magnets while maintaining the same mounting depth. As a result, the SPC-106TRA7-2 delivers deeper bass, higher power handling, and increased component longevity.

The first thing you will notice about the SPC-106TRA7-2 are the beautifully designed stainless steel tweeter grills in the A-pillars, that replace the original plastic Ford grills. We use a cutting-edge chemical photo etching process for highest aesthetics and acoustics performance, to make them look stunning from every angle – yet acoustically optimized and virtually transparent to the sound waves passing through them.
Fast & easy installation
The Alpine speaker system components use only original installation locations for easy installation – and to maintain the option to re-install the factory system (if you drive a leasing vehicle that needs to be returned at some point in time). All connectors are plug-and-play compatible with the original Ford wiring harness and connectors. The overall installation can be accomplished with regular household tools in a short time. A step-by-step installation manual is included.

High-end silk dome tweeters

The high-end 28 mm tweeters feature extended high frequency response well beyond 25 kHz to faithfully reproduce the sound stage and the harmonic details of the music.
HAMR Surround
Alpine’s HAMR Surround (High-Amplitude Multi-Roll) allows for a maximum cone excursion, while maintaining excellent control. This results in strong bass at high volumes without distortion.
Die-Cast Aluminum Basket and Large Magnets
The SPC-106TRA7-2 features high-quality aluminum baskets, providing high stiffness and enabling them to carry heavier magnets without warping. This allowed our engineers to fit larger magnets than in previous generations while maintaining the same mounting depth. Thanks to the pole core vent the motor benefits from improved cooling. This vent allows warm air to escape efficiently, preventing overheating. The result? The speaker can handle higher power levels for extended periods without losing sound quality. Additionally, the reduced thermal stress increases the lifespan of the components.
Dynamic mid-bass experience
