The Alpine Freestyle systems have been created to cover the growing demand for a custom installation system. Freestyle can be used especially for vehicles where no regular radio or navigation fits and no solutions are available. It is then up to the skill of the installer to use the Freestyle system to create a great installation for the vehicle.

The 4th generation Alpine Freestyle media system features a 9-inch high-resolution WXGA touch-screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, extensive media options including wireless Apple CarPlay and (wired) Android Auto compatibility. It also features 2 USB ports as well as a built-in DAB+ digital radio tuner.

You also bring exceptionally good sound quality into your vehicle: the Alpine Freestyle system is among the world’s first Head Units featuring a built-in Class-D amplifier and has a wide array of professional sound tuning functions, such as 2-way X-overs, a Parametric EQ, digital time correction and much more.

The Alpine iLX-W690D Digital Media Receiver features a 7-inch hi-res capacitive touchscreen, which works perfectly with smartphone connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is designed to give smartphone users all features they want and need to enjoy their car rides. The built-in DAB+ digital radio tuner lets you enjoy radio stations in excellent sound quality, while the high-speed charging function for smartphones ensures that your phone battery is rapidly charged. Bluetooth audio streaming allows everyone in the car to contribute with their phones and music to the party on the road.
The unit features a very shallow installation depth of only 6 cm, which allows installation even in vehicles without full DIN-sized installation docks.
You can further upgrade your iLX-W690D with the KTA-450 4-channel Power Pack or KTA-200M Mono Power Pack Amplifier with PowerStack capability, to increase your sound output by five times. Both units can be mounted together, to create a very compact package that can fit into a regular 2DIN space. This Power-Stack design even won a “Best of CES Award 2019”.

The KIT-8SMT, combined with INE-W928R / X803D-U / X803DC-U, offers cutting edge navigation, paired with DAB+, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility (depending on the navigation model).

This installation kit includes all parts for mechanical fitting as well as a steering wheel remote control interface featuring CAN to analogue conversion for ACC, Vehicle Speed Pulse and parking brake signals.

It also includes an interface which supports the car’s radio display information in the driver information system as well as an antenna adapter with phantom feed.
